Subject: 2024 Nomination Cycle Update
Good morning Deb, the Exco, and NCC members,
I want to provide you with an update where we are with regard to nominations for President-elect and Treasurer. At the close of the nomination windows, we have the following nominations:
President-elect:
- Christina Kim
- Al Yarzebinski
- Camen Castagno
- Frank Vuong
- Helen Seol
- Kim-Anh Vu
- Bethany Vu
- Hao Dinh
- Hung (John) Vu
- Phuong-Ha Nguyen
- Le-Thai Minh Thuy
Treasurer:
- Al Yarzebinski
- Ms. Chieu-Lan Nguyen
- Mr. Hoang Nguyen
- Kim Huong Truong
- Thuy Huong Phan
Here are other stats:
- 21 communities responded
- 10 names put forth for President-Elect
- 5 names put forth for Treasurer
Here is the upcoming plan from NomCom:
- In the next few days, we will be reaching out to the individual to inform them of being nominated.
- Formally sending the notification, invitation to discern and the link for them to provide their response after their discernment (formerly called "Nominees' Questionnaires). The deadline is April 30th, 2024 for their response.
The biggest grace that I receive at this stage of the process is the fact that 6 communities went through the process even though they did not put forth any nominee. The fact that they did was the fruit. We continue to ask that we hold our national community, the nominees and their families in our prayers.
